About Lewistown Fire-Rescue
Lewistown Fire Rescue employs 20 plus employees consisting of Career and Part-Paid staff broken down into Officers, Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, Engineers, and Safety Officers. All personnel respond to various fire, technical rescue, HAZMAT, and medical emergencies in the City and Rural Fire District. They are divided into four shifts: A, B, C, and D. Firefighters work 24-hour shifts. Currently, there is one designated firefighter or officer per shift and one call officer 24/7.
Fire Apparatus
LFR has various apparatus and equipment owned by the City of Lewistown and the Lewistown Rural Fire District in order to execute the diverse tasks and emergencies we face in our area of operation. The current fleet is listed as follows:

- Engine 3 (First-Due Engine)
- Engine 2 (Spare Engine)
- Ladder 4 (75’ Aerial and Pumper)
- Command 1 (EMS and Command Post)
- ARFF (Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Apparatus-Airport Owned)

- Rescue 7 (EMS, Rescue, & Pumper)
- Engine 5 (Spare Engine)
- Engine 6 (Pumper-Tender)
- Tender 8 (Water Tender)
- Brush 9 (Wildland Engine)
- Brush 10 (Wildland Engine)
- Command 3 (EMS & Personnel Shuttle)
- HAZMAT Trailer (Hazardous Materials & Trench Rescue Resources)
- Rescue Boat (Water Rescue)
